WASHINGTON D.C. – Today, the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (WHIAANHPI) released its report to promote equity, justice and opportunity for the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities.

This report maps out WHIAANHPI’s strategic plan to effectuate President Biden’s whole-of-government approach to ensuring that all communities are able to pursue the benefits and opportunities available from the federal government. Asian Pacific American Islader American Vote (APIAVote) applauds WHIAANHPI and the President’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (Commission) for their work on this important report.

Christine Chen, Executive Director of APIAVote, stated, “The report released today by the White House Initiative underscores the Biden Administration’s commitment to advancing equity, justice and opportunity for the Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities. We at APIAVote are especially encouraged to see that among the important issues covered in the report are the issues of addressing anti-Asian hate, prioritizing data disaggregation and promoting language access.”
