Ruoping Chen (she/her/hers) is the Strategic Communications Manager at APIAVote. In this role, Chen plans and executes APIAVote’s communications strategy across traditional and digital channels, leads content development across all platforms to drive engagement, education and impact, and works with the media and other stakeholders to amplify and voices and causes of AAPIs.
Previously, Ruoping Chen served as Editor in Chief at the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, where she oversaw the production and development of their in-house business magazine, conducted policy research, wrote reports and articles on business, economics and US-China relations, and led video production and editing projects. She also worked in corporate communications for Buson-Marsteller in Shanghai, and was a documentary TV producer and director for six years at the English language channel of Shanghai Media Group. Ruoping graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Economics.
