To make sure everyone in our communities is counted, APIAVote is supporting local organizations from around the country to participate in the #2020Census AAPI Census Caravans from August 28th to August 29th. Participate Virtually:
  • If you are participating in a caravan, make sure to tag us on social media @APIAVote on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram.
  • If you want to follow the caravan online, tag your friends in each of the above caravan cities and follow us @APIAVote on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram as we repost and boost these events. 
  • Signal boost caravan efforts by tagging us @APIAVote and use #AAPI2020, #2020Census and #AAPICensusCaravan to see the efforts of AAPIs across the nation!

  • San Francisco (CA)8/28, 10 AM-1 PM, Two census caravans will circulate San Francisco stopping at various neighborhoods with lower census self-response rates. At each location, community organizations engaged in census work are discussing their outreach efforts and challenges in reaching community members, especially with shelter in place orders and limited public activity creating some barriers to outreach. Read details here. Organized by

Maricopa County (AZ): 8/29, 1-4 PM, organized by OCA-Greater Phoenix & AZ AANHPI for Equity. Meeting at International Market in Mesa as we make our way to Mekong Plaza, HMART &  Lee Lee’s in Chandler

San Jose (CA): 8/29, 4 PM, organized by the Asian Law Alliance. Two separate routes; one meeting at Santa Clara County headquarters at 70 W. Hedding St., the other at Asian Law Alliance, 991 W. Hedding St.  Join us as pass by landmarks in Japantown, San Pedro Square, San Jose Jose City Hall, SJSU, CET & Plaza de Cesar

Los Angeles County (CA): 8/29, 10 AM-4 PM, organized by A3PCON. Meeting in Koreatown.  For more details, follow here.

Orange County Census Scavenger Hunt (CA): 8/29, 3-5 PM, organized by OCAPICA. Meeting at Bill Barber Memorial Park. Trucks will be driving through Irvine and visiting booth sites. Join the social media challenge by spotting our van and take a photo of it or at a booth. Tags @ocapica97 to be entered in a raffle for $50/$100 giftcard.
